The American Acne and Rosacea Society (AARS), a Section 501(c)(6) non-profit, was established in 2005 as a conglomeration of experts from varied scientific backgrounds. The purpose of the Society is to facilitate the interchange of knowledge and to stimulate education and research in two of the most common skin conditions we encounter in dermatology practice, acne and rosacea.  Our founders and our members are dermatology medical professionals doing the fundamental and clinical research as well as performing the daily basic care for patients. We are the advocates of dermatologic diseases, conditions, and their scientific understanding.

The mission of the AARS is to:

  • Promote, support, develop and provide a forum for the exchange of information about acne and rosacea
  • Promote acne and rosacea clinical research and mentoring opportunities for dermatology professionals
  • Improve the care of patients who suffer from acne and rosacea
